Resident advocates are an integral part of our work at oaksATL. They provide care and accountability for the residents in their buildings and foster a thriving community environment. Our resident advocates meet with a team from Oaks once a month and often throw out ideas on how to improve the community.
Over the summer, the resident advocates decided the neighborhood could use a backpack drive. They came together to collect over 70 backpacks and gave them all away at the event they planned on July 24th! In addition to the backpack drive, there was a bounce house and barbecue for their neighbors to enjoy. It was a joy for our team to get to participate in an event that our advocates planned and see the community come together to care for one another and have some fun. It was a reminder that God is at work in this place and through these incredible people. Check out some more pictures below of what was a great day at oaksATL!
